Amy Sanchez Raaz

Amy Sanchez Raaz is a Denver metro area community leader with more than 20 years of national, state and local experience in both the public and private sectors. Her work at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in Washington D.C., overseeing races across the country, prepared her for a successful career in electoral politics.


Amy co-founded the non-profit, The Latina Initiative. Utilizing her lived experiences along with her strong commitment to expanding the role of Latinas in public policy, the Latina Initiative designed and implemented a highly successful Latina voter engagement program based on data and digital programing. She brings in-depth knowledge of Colorado and the metro-Denver area and the complicated issues confronting Colorado and its diverse populations.


Amy currently sits on the board of Servicios De La Raza. She is a graduate of the Latino Leadership Institute at the University of Denver and is an attorney and obtained her JD from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.


She lives with her husband and son in Golden, Colorado and spends her time in the outdoors where she loves to run and ski.
